Ontario-born, Liam Bryant moved to Louisiana at the age of two and has since lived all over the state. He spent his early childhood in Ville Platte, his adolescence in Bossier City, and later in Houma. He currently resides in New Orleans, where he lives in the French Quarter.Liam is among the artists who are compelled to create, and this drive defines his creative process, imbuing it with the essence of folk art. He readily embraces any scavenged surface, paint and materials and often finds himself working in the dim, chaotic corners of noisy apartments.In his unfiltered artistic journey, Liam explores profound and intimate themes, touching upon anger, loneliness, and alienation. His work features earthy color palettes and raw painting techniques, as he navigates between abstract art, neo-expressionism, and surrealist influences.
